I’m a (vCANZ) Registered Marriage Celebrant. I’m based in Christchurch but happy to travel to your wedding.

Congratulations on your engagement! At your wedding it’s my job to see you are at your happiest, smiling, relaxed and enjoying the moment together. My goal is to make your guests feel enthralled and surprised by wedding they feel part of.

Born in Galway, Ireland, I lived in Spain and London before settling in New Zealand. Transitioning from Corporate IT, I became a Marriage Celebrant at my daughter’s request and later a Funeral Celebrant. Public speaking has been integral to my career, including conference sessions, Master-of-Ceremonies roles, and stand-up comedy.
Published poems in various anthologies, Christchurch Press and a book ‘Poems Happen’ on Amazon. A Distinguished Toastmaster and a Validated CANZ member. I have also tutored Public Speaking at Hagley Community College and Christchurch Prison AS A VISITOR 🙂

Simple Legal Ceremonies. As below but without the restrictions.
Registry Ceremonies. Short legal ceremonies prescribed by NZ DIA.
Renewal of Vows. Where a couple reaffirm their commitment.
Naming Ceremonies. Family & friends welcome a new member.
Meaningful Funerals and Loving Memorial Services.
Celebrations of Life or ‘Living Wake’ Services.

My role as your wedding celebrant is to deliver an authentic ceremony that is warm, memorable and legally correct. My responsibilities to you include confidentiality, privacy and respect for the information you share. I will do my best to meet your needs. As a member of the Celebrants’ Association of New Zealand, I am bound by professional ethics and standards and covered by Indemnity Insurance which is required at some venues.
