Your Wedding, Your Way: My Approach

I work to ensure you have a happy, stress-free wedding. Every detail is an opportunity to make your ceremony personal and meaningful. On your wedding day, I will work with you to help you both be at your best, smiling, relaxed, and in the moment.
At your wedding I’ll work to ensure your guests are relaxed, happy, and fully engaged in a ceremony they feel part of.
Your wedding can be anything you want it to be. Here are just a few things we can think about:

• Your Wedding Party: From bridesmaids and groomsmen to flower girls and page boys, we’ll find the perfect roles for everyone. Sharing jobs is like giving gifts—it spreads the love!

• Witnesses: Choosing who signs your license is a special moment. Mums make great witnesses, but you can choose anyone you’d like, even if they’re not in the wedding party.

• Music & Sound: I can help you plan your walk-in, signing, and walk-out music. If you need a sound system, I’m happy to provide one to ensure every word is heard.

• Rings: Will you have one, two, or no rings? We’ll decide who will deliver them and how.

• Vows: Your vows are a chance to tell your story and answer the question: why this person? We’ll work together to make them perfect.

Here is a breakdown of the services I offer to ensure your ceremony is everything you’ve dreamed of.

• Personalised Ceremony Planning: My approach to planning is comprehensive and collaborative, designed to make your ceremony uniquely yours. You’ll receive my detailed “Ceremony Details” guide to help us plan your ceremony script and ensure we cover all topics.

• Stress-Free Coordination: I’ll manage the details to ensure a seamless process, from our first meeting to the big day.

• Legal Formalities & Paperwork: I’ll remind you and guide you through the process of applying for your marriage license and ensure all legal requirements are met.

• Confident & Professional Officiating: I bring experience in public speaking, MCing, and stand-up comedy to deliver a warm, calm, and engaging ceremony with a touch of humour

• Ceremony Rehearsal: I can lead an optional, fun, and quick rehearsal to help you and your wedding party feel at ease on the day. I can suggest many tried and true ways to have fun replace stress.

Options and Extras

• Optional Rehearsal: $120
• Travel: IRD rates apply beyond 30kms.
• Audio System: $65, or $95 overnight. Twin System for 100+ Guests
• MC Services: My services as a Master of Ceremonies for your full wedding day are available by negotiation. Alternatively and for a fee, I can coach a friend to do an even better job 🙂

Resources & Guidance

• Unlimited Meetings: We can meet anytime, in person (in Christchurch) or via Zoom, to discuss your ceremony. We can talk more about how my ‘low-stress’ approach works, why it’s a consistent theme in my reviews, and why you’ll see it reflected in every one of your wedding photos.

• Guidance on Vows & Readings: I’ll provide you with sample vows and readings, as well as templates and a method to help you write and deliver your own vows.

• Trusted Expert Advice: I can offer guidance on a range of topics, including wedding trends, etiquette, and how to involve family and friends in your ceremony.

• Collaborative Team Approach: We will work together as a team to create your dream ceremony.

Wedding Packages

1. Signature Style Package

• Price: From $795

• Description: This is your dream wedding ceremony—fully personalised and comprehensive. We’ll work together to craft a ceremony script that is uniquely yours, covering every detail from your wedding party roles to your personal vows. This package includes stress-free coordination, all legal paperwork, and confident, professional officiating with a touch of humour. It’s the perfect choice for a grand and memorable occasion.

2. Classic Style Package

• Price: From $545

• Description: A beautiful and elegant ceremony for up to 60 guests. The Classic Style gives you a personalized, professionally officiated ceremony without the formality of a large-scale event. I’ll guide you through the process, manage the legal requirements, and ensure your ceremony is warm, engaging, and a true reflection of your love story.

3. Elope Style Package

• Price: From $395

• Description: A special and intimate ceremony for just the two of you and up to 20 of your nearest and dearest. The Elope Style focuses on what truly matters—your commitment to each other. We’ll find a quiet, beautiful location, and I’ll officiate a simple, yet deeply meaningful ceremony, allowing you to have a stress-free and unforgettable day.

4. Registry Ceremony

• Price: $90

• Description: A lovely, simple, and lowest-cost legal ceremony for those who want to get married without the fuss. As a registered celebrant, I’m happy to help you navigate the fixed terms and conditions and ensure all legal requirements are met for a quick and easy process. T&C include. Maximum of 10 guests and can’t be held at a venue, hotel or restaurant.

5. Registry Plus Package

• Price: $195

• An option for those who want a Registry Ceremony but:
  a) Can’t do weekdays 9 – 5, or
  b) Can’t find a local Celebrant, or
  c) want quality photographs, but
  d) are happy to accept all other Registry Ceremony Terms & Conditions.
